Hotel Booking
We’ll continue updating this page as new information comes in, but in the meantime, we’ve gathered a set of hotel recommendations below — some with room blocks or discount links already secured, and others we’re actively coordinating.
Where to stay
We generally recommend staying on the northern side of the city (Marina, Nob Hill, Presidio) or in Marin, as there will be several large, city-wide events happening in San Francisco that weekend that could impact travel times. Staying in these areas should make getting around smoother and more predictable.
That said, San Francisco is very navigable, and there are great options at a range of price points — we’ve grouped our recommendations by category to help you choose what feels right.
A note on room blocks: Some hotels below offer room blocks or discount links, which we’ve noted clearly. Others are recommended options where guests can book directly. Availability may change, so we encourage booking earlier rather than later if you see a good fit. We’ll keep this page updated as additional blocks are confirmed.
AIR TRAVEL
The closest major airport is San Francisco International Airport (SFO). It’s about 13 miles from San Francisco, and the drive typically takes around 30–40 minutes by car or rideshare, depending on traffic.
Oakland International Airport (OAK) is another good option; the drive to San Francisco usually takes about 55–60 minutes by car or rideshare.
Rental cars, Uber, and Lyft are widely available from both airports.
We recommend arriving by Friday afternoon to allow time to settle in and join us for an optional welcome gathering in the early evening (children are warmly invited). Guests will then be free to enjoy dinner on their own afterward. Summer travel can be busy, so booking flights early is encouraged.
